ShortVideos.to Privacy Policy

We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service:

• Google account info — name, email, and avatar (if you sign in). We never post anything on your behalf.
• YouTube video IDs — the URL or search query you submit, which we analyze to find clip-worthy moments.
• Uploaded files — if you upload your own video, the file is stored in our cloud storage so we can transcribe it, analyze it, and render clips.
• Generated clips — the rendered video files and their metadata (title, timestamps, captions) are stored temporarily for download.
• Shared clips — if you create a public share link, the clip, its title, a thumbnail, your display name, and its heart count are stored and shown publicly on its share page and in the community feed.
• Reports — if you submit a report, we store the reason, any details you add, the reported URL, and (if signed in) your email, so our team can review it.
• Billing data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by PayPal (see below). We do not collect or store your full card details. We retain only your plan, subscription status, and the payer/subscription identifiers PayPal returns so we can grant access and manage your subscription.

Your data is used only to operate and improve the service:

• To process and render your video clips.
• To keep your clip history and saved clips available across sessions.
• To enforce usage limits on the free tier.

• Clips: Generated video files are stored for 48 hours, then permanently deleted — unless you save them or publish them as a public share, in which case they are kept while active.
• Uploaded files: Your uploaded source video is stored for the processing/render window (about 48 hours), then automatically deleted. Contact us to delete it sooner.
• Shared clips: A public share page and its data remain available until you or we remove it (you can report a clip for removal).
• History & saved clips: Stored indefinitely while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time.
• Account data: Retained until you request deletion by contacting us.

• Google — authentication (OAuth) and YouTube data (transcripts, metadata). We never share data with Google beyond what is necessary for these features.
• TikTok — if you choose to share a clip directly to TikTok, we initiate the share flow through TikTok's integration. We do not store your TikTok account credentials or access your TikTok data beyond what is required to complete the share.
• Vercel — hosting and deployment.
• Fly.io — video processing infrastructure.
• Neon — PostgreSQL database (used when configured).
• PayPal — our payment processor for paid subscriptions. When you check out, you provide your payment details directly to PayPal, which processes the transaction and stores your payment information under PayPal's Privacy Statement. We receive only non-sensitive details (such as your email, plan, and subscription identifiers).

We use essential cookies for authentication (next-auth). No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

If this policy changes materially, we will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the website.
